ok...for those who are still dont know...
I went for a weekend getaway to Bangkok recently.....
very fulfilling trip I must say....not mentioning the stuffs that me n gracie bought.
Some of the things we learnt....

1. DON'T trust anyone. Even if they look like airport staff with blazers. Just go with your guts, instinct, whatever.
2. ALWAYS bring extra credit card. You never know when the bank is going to replace your card.
3. NEVER drink from minibars in hotels, with the thinking that u can replace them later. Minibars now have drinks that cant be bought from anywhere else, I swear.
4. Roadside stalls in Bangkok are DAMN nice!! With or without the exhaust fumes.
5. DO NOT underestimate roadside stalls. They actually have LAMINATED MENUS IN ENGLISH! Gracie and me were still wondering how to order from the roadside 煮炒 until auntie passed us a menu! FYI, we were not at Chinatown.
6. DO NOT underestimate roadside stalls part 2. They actually provide disposable utensils too if you want to ta-bao back to hotel to eat.
7. DON'T be afraid to walk away if you think prices/place is unreasonable
8. Asia Bangkok Hotel is THE hotel to stay in. Clean and Fantastic rooms, 10mins walk away from Platinum/MBK. What else can you ask for?
9. Chatuchaek weekend market is seriously over-hyped. I mean SERIOUSLY.
10. DON'T be afraid to complain. Use hand signals, broken english, QUEEN'S ENGLISH, make WEIRD SOUNDS!!! YES weird sounds, to get your message across to the Thais. You will be rewarded with a FOC late check out. WAHAHAHA.
11. If u happened to get the same privilege as me i.e FOC late check out, REMEMBER to get the reception to extend your room access card.
12. DON'T assume all airports have fast-food, food courts, food junctions.
13. Even if they have fast food, please DON'T assume they are of the same price as the fast food joints outside the airport.
14. Highway toll will NEVER exceed 300baht.
15. Highway tolls CAN be avoided by travelling on small roads and it still takes the same time to get to/leave the airport. (I'm sure nobody knows about this)
16. Singaporeans love donuts. There are actually people who ta-baoed donuts back from Thailand. I mean WTF?
17. Looks are deceiving. There was this singaporean girl, quite pretty, who actually said this.....
" Faster board the plane...! Once the dragon and lion dance troupe members board the plane, there wont be any space for us in the top compartments to keep our stuff".
