Yes....I went Bangkok again.....
it's like my 3rd trip there in 4yrs......
same old place......but different enjoyment each time.......
Same Same, But different.....
And with each trip, I'm becoming more and more Siam-kia at heart;
I now know the directions to most shopping centres (Platinum, MBK, Siam Discovery, Paragon etc) and I walk there...mind you...not cabs or Tut-Tuts.......
to top it up....I now know how to walk from ChinaTown to the nearest MRT station!
Beat that!
WAHAHAHAHA
Anyways....
Stayed at Baiyoke Sky this time round.....
2 thumbs up.......definitely....
but of coz....comes with a price......
120SGD per night to be exact.....
but worth it, I say.....
the room....
the view....
the view at night......
the breakfast....
American, Japanese....Buffet style.....
A&W....
Gotta have it whenever I'm overseas.....
I heart A&W deep deep......
Can someone bring back A&W?
I refuse to post any pictures of seafood....as it will just make me hungry....
So here we are, pictures of some of the t-shirts I bought in Bangkok....
Dirtcheap...probably around 5-6SGD each.....
First up....
Everyone's favourite....
Coke in Thai...
The singlet version....
Google has its black version in the form of Blackle....
I too...have my black version of Coke.......
I'm fucked if those words actually meant I'm a wanker.....
but the Siam-kia in me says it's definitely Coke....
and speaking of fuck.........
"I would like to solve the puzzle Pat.............."
Yes you....stupid....
Wonder if I can wear this to KFC.....
Yes, he killed all alot of Dads and Mums I'm sure....
And sorry guys....
my girlfriend is WAY hotter than yours........
yours is boring....
Mine's sizzling hot.....
The alcoholic in me just had to grab some alcohol related t-shirts back.....
Jack Daniel's.....
All time favourite.....
Heineken.....
More Heineken....
Ximing...watch out......
One wrong move and you might end up like the final guy......
And me being me.....
I just have to grab some rude T-shirts too........
Please click the "x" on the top right hand corner if you are from City Harvest........
I'm not sure if there were shavers during his time though.....
Apple gave us iMac, iPod, iTouch
and now.....
iGod!
I'm sure City Harvest don't even have that.........
and at the rate my maid is destroying my clothes.....
faster than you can say Same Same but different......
I might be going Bangkok to replenish my t-shirts soon......
Another time......

Vincent #2
have been on this job with this colleague for the past 1 month....
never fails to entertain me with his nonsense....
which I like to call it, the "Vincent Syndrome"
Yes Vincent, You. Don't hide. Will never forget how you can actually make my day EVERYDAY in SIM.....
anyways, was having a client meeting with this colleague, unofficially known as Vincent2...everything was kinda smooth until until the very end......
Me: Thanks XXX, thats all from me.....
Me: Vincent2, do you have any things to add on?
Vincent2 proceeds to turn his head in circular motion.....
Me: (Trying very hard not to laugh)...I guess thats all...Thanks for your time.....
!!!! I felt like smacking his head at that very instant. Say yes or no lar! Don't shake your head in circular motion! Hahaha.
I swear my client was trying to contain her laughter too.....
Just today, we had the conversation of the month.......
Vincent2: kev, you guys go reservist quite often right? what you guys do inside there?
Me: (Inside there? Sounds like prison) Oh, depends on your vocation, regiment lor.
Vincent2: so whats your regiment?
Me: Armour. I used to be a mechanic, repairing tanks and all.
Vincent2: COOL!
Me: What about you? Does India (read: India) have NS and all?
Vincent2: OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!(Eyes as big as goldfish)
Vincent2: India would go bankrupt if joining the army is compulsory.
Me: Why?
Vincent2: Come on! We got 1billion ppl!
Me: HAHAHAHAHA
Vincent2: Besides, we got nuclear weapons. Who cares about army...
Hahaha, he just made my day, after a long day of meetings and running from client to client....

Tuesday Ramblings.......
for all that still don't know....
I have absolutely ZERO a very low threshold of tolerance of "The Others"......
"The Others" refer to the b.....
Ask me and I might just tell you.....
anyways....I just took one of the worst cab rides I ever had in my whole life....
U guess it...the driver was a "mud digger"....
First up, he made me wait 30mins for him, when the operator told me he is arriving in 10mins.
Background 1: Cab drivers can choose between 1,2,5,7 and 10mins on that touch screen thing that informs them of any cab bookings....For the prehistoric cabs that don't have this luxury, they would then have to tell the operators via walkie talkie, or phones, their estimated arrival time.
Yes, I took a prehistoric, manual cab.
Background 2: Manual cars are very hard to drive. If you a fucked up driver, or a passenger with fucked up luck, chances are your ride home would be fucking bumpy.
I belong to the latter, definitely not the former as I had 3 years of experience driving a Lorry.
0.1256248s after boarding the cab, I knew I was in for a tough ride;
Manual car, "mud digger" driver (=fucked up driver), unbearable smell, PLUS!!!!
YES!!!! PLUS!!!!
He had one of the worst song list EVER on his radio!
Background 3: He wasn't playing Chinese songs. He was playing songs that go like this for 30mins....
Ummm Ba Laaa ALLAAAHHH sayouu, la uhmm ma la HAI you......
Allah ble ssss mat hat thir.......
Before I get slammed for for being racist, I'm not really a fan of chants, be it buddhist chants, indian chants, malayu chants, whatever chants.
After 10mins, I was actually saying my prayers....(no, not that kind you idiot)
I was really hoping I would not puke on the cab EVEN without Maccullum......
Apparently my prayers were answered as I arrived home unscathed....
Anyway, I digressed.....
My main objective is to narrate this conversation.....
Stop laughing Drey. The above is really not the main focal of this entry.
Cab Driver: HARLO, I want to liport a excellent...
Male Operator: HUH? WHAT?
Cab Driver: I want to LIPOT a EXCELLENT.
Operator: OH, ACCIDENT AH, where?
Cab Driver: EXCELLENT on A Y E towards Changi at JULONG ROUND HALL LOOT before CLEMENTI AVE 6
Operator: er, accident on Jurong Where? I can't hear you clearly...
Cab Driver: EXCELLENT on A Y E towards Changi at JULONG ROUND HALL LOOT!
Cab Driver: before CLEMENTI AVE 6
Operator hangs up.....
10 secs later.....
Operator (this time a female voice): uncle, just now you report where accident ah?
Suspiciously sounding like an ah lian.....
Cab Driver: JULONG ROUND HALL LOOT lah....on A Y E towards Changi at before CLEMENTI AVE 6
Ah lian: Oooh, JURONG TOWN HALL ROAD AH...okok thankyou uncle. Thank you uncle. THANK YOU leh!
I was trying hard not to burst out laughing.......

Hello Mr Transport Minister, can you read?
see pictures if you cant....
please build foreign talents dorms far away in JB or Pedra Blanca please.
We only got THAT much land in Boonlay.
RIOT@BOONLAY!!!!!
ok....not really.....
it's just everyone looking for the gantry........
i know the picture doesn't show clearly.....
but if you look closely enough, everyone is trying to enter from all the gantries....
I wonder how people inside is coming out.......
they seriously should solve this issue at boonlay......
if not, one of these days, the platform at boonlay will collapse.......

A nut loose...... maybe......
me of course.....
when I told everyone I'm not touching a single drop of alcohol anymore....
Nobody actually believed me......
I guess to them, I just one hell of a alcoholic........
but hey! I didn't go for KPMG's welcome party at Zouk!
ok....big deal.....but at least its a start right?
my alcohol vibes were actually getting the better of me at 6.00pm last Friday.....
but hell no, I told myself. I'm (was) going home.
my last sniff of alcohol was actually on Tuesday, @Brewerkz. With Ximing and Mitchelle.
So lets see when will this "de-alcoholing" exercise end....
any takers? I'm taking bets....
In fact, was discussing this issue with yunting; we already have decayed tooth, rotten lungs and disintegrated you-name-it-we-have-it-body-parts printed on the packaging of cigarettes. Maybe in the future, we might even see similar "ads" on beer bottles. Hardened livers, Discoloured Kidneys, accompanying your Kilkenny, Ludwig, Macallum and whats nots.
Yes, laugh at the suggestion. But nothing is impossible in Singapore ok?
We had Mas Selamat escaping via Toilets, Prison Break Style.
We had F1, Monaco Style, but at night! (Beat that, Monaco)
We have casinos coming to our shores soon. (And we even had 29k people banned from entering already)
Best of all, we are going to have "Foreign Talent" (yes Mitchelle, those with the sucidal smell type) dorms in SERANGOON. Not Boon Lay ok. Soon their area of influence will spread to Kembangan, East Coast and Ubin. Mark my words.
If Singapore can build foreign workers dorm in Serangoon, I'm sure I can refrain from drinking.
1 week at least, I'm sure.
Stop laughing Drey.

Talk About Being Rude........
telemarketer: hi, may I speak to Mr. Koh Shi Quang.....
Me: erm...yes, speaking...(who else could it be.........)
telemarketer: I'm calling on behalf of Philip, if you remembered sometime back, you filled up a survey form. And he has been sending you greeting cards, keeping you in his mail list.
Me: uh hur...(cb, telemarketer, at least get my name right lar....and who the fuck is Philip, I filled up trillions of survey forms lor. And where were the greeting cards? trying to smoke me ah?)
telemarketer: I would like to arrange a time for you to meet up with Philip, as he has some WONDERFUL ideas for you.
Me: okay..........(I hope Philip is actually Phyllis who is actually damn hot......)
telemarketer: it is a one stop financial.....(i forgot what was the bombastic word he used)
Me: sorry, I'm not really interested, maybe....
Line went dead.......
FUCK. And I though I was rude....

Not Serangoon Gardens then where?
BOONLAY LAH FUCK!
Whats another 80000 banglas when we already have 1 million of those here.
Shit.
Bring it on I say.
Yah Sure, I dig totally having to share my swimming pool with them. Its public use anyway.
We should really change racial harmony day to racial tolerance day.
Probably insist everyone eat vegetarian that day, so that one can be more tolerant.
You know, less meat less fire.
No?
Anyway, went Pump Room on Wed, instead of Helipad.
Coz a certain someone flew me a helicopter and did'nt land at Helipad.
Food is good.
Band is good.
Girls is are good.
With the dim lights, and excessive alcohol of course.

BPL Predictions
I'm no guru at gambling or predicting stuff for that matter....
but still, I want to give my 2 cents worth on Barclay's Premier League Season 08/09...
Champions....
Man Utd of course!
Once a Red Devil, always a red devil.
If I'm predicting some other teams to be Champions come May 2009, I might as well be stoned to death by banglas.....
Definitely, my cause is certainly helped by Berbatov's last minute transfer to Man Utd.......
What do you get when you combine Cantona and Ruud van Nistelrooy?
Berbatov. 'Nuff said.
Losers. I mean 2nd Spot.
Yes, Chelsea.
Scolari is a good manager, but I doubt he can make a diffence. 'Cause theres only one Jose Mourinho. And I would love to see him gloat and say hes the only manager that brought the Premier League title to Stamford bridge.
Wahahaha....
No doubt, they made a couple of good signings;
Bosingwa - Living up to expectations and making the right flank his own.
Deco - Really the brains in midfield. Add him into the equation, now Lampard and Ballack can co-exist. Too bad, he doesnt play for England. Would really like to see him make Gerrard and Lampard tick for the Three Lions.
Having said that, it won't be enough to stop Man Utd from winning their 18th title and make liverpool pee in their pants....
*Liverpool currently holds the record of 18 top flight titles won*
Second Best Loser; Third Spot.
Tough Choice, but I'm going for Liverfools Liverpool
Nothing against Arsenal, I just feel that Robbie Keane will be the difference this season.
Third Best Loser; the Gunners - Arsenal
I know, they lost half the midfield....
Hleb is gone. Flamini is gone. But don't forget who's at helm.
The Professor - Arsene Wenger.
I'm sure he still has a couple of tricks up his sleeves to conjure up a forth place.
Fifth to 17th. I don't really care. Period.
18th, 19th, 20th.
I'm going for Fulham, Middlesbrough, West Brom.
Why? I just dislike Fulham and Middlesbrough. As simple as that.
They have a crap team, year in year out. But still manage to stay up.
Yes, Hull and Stoke. They are crap too. But I would like to see them up with the big guns for at least one season. Gives a sense of self-belief to future teams who are promoted you know. Whats the point of being promoted when you know you are going straight down. So I'm sticking to Fulham, Middlesbrough and West Brom to go down.
Whos 18th, whos 19th and 20th??
Does it matter? They still go down together.

Top 5 songs you should never let your kid listen to.....
Timbaland - The Way I Are
Your child's english teacher would properly cringe in disgustment if they hear
that from your child.
Stupid kid! its the way i is!
Any Eminem songs, particularly "The Way I Am"
Eminem songs simply have to many expletives. Stop your child from
listening to any of his songs, before your kids come around and tells you
"Ma/Pa! The Way I Am is grammatically correct! Can listen hor?"
Michael Jackson - Black or white
You really want your child do make a decision
on the skin color he should mix around with??
Ah yes, and you thought it was really a song for carrot cake.......
R Kelly - I belive I can fly
Self explanatory isnt it?
Your kid just ain't superman or a bird for the matter.
Or even Peter Petrelli.
One Republic - Stop and Stare.
Somebody's gonna get hurt. Big Time.
Never mess with Ah bengs.
Will be back with top 5 songs you SHOULD let your kids listen to.......

咸菜命
to a lesser extent.........
I don't know, it is just me or everybody else is facing the same situation.
You, comes back from work, hungry, tired and hungry.
But there is no dinner, no food, no anything for you.
Instead of a piping hot bowl of rice, you are greeted by a gust of cold air.
Fucked up, isn't it.
It seriously makes me wonder;
1. What is my maid for?
2. Where is my monthly allowance going to?
3. Is my home a home? Or just a shelter for me to spend the night.
The last straw comes when you find your best looking shirts stained yellow.
And your mum tells you, " The maid says you came back with the shirts already yellow."
CCb, Knn, !@#!$%, (insert your own vulgarities)
Your mum believes your maid, and thinks that you actually rolled in the mud after work before coming home.
Great.
Fantastic.
Brilliant.
Awesome.
I'm going to buy dinner.
Fucking hungry is actually positive thinking already.
Oh yeah, how many of you actually believed Li Tao will win the gold?
Definitely not me.

Mid Week Water Parade
Went for drinks again with my bestest pal from army - mr zheng.
this time at Paulaners, Millenia walk.
nah, we didnt get our ass drunk....simply because its only midweek.
we only ordered a couple of big-ass-sized beer.
It only seemed like yesterday when we were at st james, drinking like goldfishes.
At this rate, i seriously need a new liver.
Took a couple of photos there of our beer and food, and thats about it.
A tad too lazy to upload them.
Can't wait for Lunar again.
Yunting, you are going to get your ass down to lunar this time.
No butts. I mean buts.

Monday Ramblings......
yesh, im very disappointed. Very.
Not to be able to be part of the IWE team.
I mean, it does come any bigger than this - an industry wide exercise.
ok, maybe my more experienced colleagues might think that there are better opportunities than this in the future. But, thats the future. Who knows what will happen in the future. At least the IWE is closer, more tangible and fits my bill.
ok, that aside, I went wikipedia and searched "Long Island Tea"
Why? 'cause I have been drinking it for years but till now, I still don't know what is it made up of.
And seeing how all my friends used to get knocked out by it, here goes:
- 1.5 cl (three parts) Vodka
- 1.5 cl (three parts) Tequila
- 1.5 cl (three parts) White Rum
- 1.5 cl (three parts) Triple Sec
- 1.5 cl (three parts) Gin
- 2.5 cl (five parts) Lemon Juice
- 3.0cl (six parts) Gomme Syrup
- A Dash of Cola
Anyone still game for it?

St James... the aftermath.
for a change, i ain't gonna "dish" anyone.
no pictures this time round too.
coz yours truly brought a camera without the memory card.
yes. Everyone gave me a pat on the back on a job well done.
haha.
Anyways, I'm just glad everyone got home in 1 piece; either sober, drunk, pissed or hungry.
Lesson learnt.
1. I underestimated Long Island Tea.
2. I underestimated mixing liquor with shots and beer and liquor and beer and shots and (continue inserting your own combination here).
3. I should re-evaluate everyone's drinking limits.
4. We should just stick to Lunar.
5. Lots more.
And in more ways than 1, I'm sure I head the legendary excel spreadsheet of yc's mum.
Happy Birthday Dude. You know who you are.
Hahaha.
And thanks to Ximing for joining us this time.
After witnessing this session, I wonder if he will ever join us again.
Going for NDP Preview in few hours time.
Meanwhile, I shall snoop around the net for people selling organs.
No. Not piano, electric organs etc.
Livers in fact.

HongKong 2008
But I tell you, our enthusiam only lasted 2 shots...
On the plane....
HongKong Airport
Done. No More. Zilch.
I seriously think its too much of a trouble to stop every now and then photo whore-ing. I got better things to do: Look for lobangs. Look for food. Rest much and shop alot. Yes. Those who photo whore like nobody business, my kudos to you guys. I still can't fathom how you guys do it.
Photo whoring is definitely not in my blood. Looking for good food is. Haha
Food is my life.
And how can I not have tim sum in Hongkong......
And I'm pround to say, I single handedly brought our "Feed the Pigs" exercise over to HongKong. I ish one man eating machine. Grace was an excuse to order a 3-person portion meal. Note: I=2 person
Lesson Learnt:
1. Hongkong zi char dont really care about looks. Taste matters. Thats all thats important.
2. Tea is for you to wash your utensils. Do not drink, unless you are thirsty, or you see other people drinking.
And to those who are planning to go to, going to HongKong or IS already in HongKong, look out for this stall around temple street. They sell all sorts of porridge that will make you tear. SERIOUSLY.
The Giant Buddha was one of the few places of interest we visited.
Note: Few
Stop asking me why we didnt visit alot of places of interest.
Like I mentioned, our main mission was to look for lobangs and shop.
DisneyLand? Nah
and of course, Zoos, Birdparks are a no-no too.
Majestic I have to say, though the stairs up was a killer.
Not for the weak, definitely.
Ok, photo-whoring came back into my blood for like 5seconds while we were at Woman's Street.
I must say, I was beginning to feel contaminated.
The WHOLE world was taking picture with this ship/boat/whatever you like to call it.
The Singaporean in me had to take a picture of it too.
Don't ask me where's the appeal.
I have absolutely no freaking idea.
As you can tell, I was getting bored with the whole photo taking business.
So, I decided to rope in the Olympic mascots.
While Grace roped in a news reporter to help us with the picture taking.
In return, we were interviewed.
Yes, interviewed - " What do we think of the Olympic atmostphere in HongKong."
I almost said "Do I look like I care?"
Hope nobody saw the interview.
Yes, boredom had reached a new height.
Avenue of Stars.
Nothing Much.
Just some random statues.
Only 1 was famous.
My fav - Bruce Lee.
My most satisfying loot from HongKong?
